The purpose of this website is to make comparison of two "somethings" easy and a bit scientific. Now website is heavy on digital cameras but it is not the only type of things that can be compared. Any two things, places, actions celebrities or even presidential candidates can be compared as long as they have at least one common feature.

So, what is good about these comparisons?

First, it is a good place to express strong opinion by voting or posting comments.
Second, vote results and postings sometimes may contain quite a bit of useful information.
Third, voting on features may give a clue which side is better for you. It may be very useful when deciding between two digital cameras for example.
Fourth, experts can show their knowledge and experience and create new comparisons, add features and post comments. So far Paul ;) is the only expert on this site but you can be an expert too. It is free :)

How voting works

Every feature can get vote which is football-like score from 2:0 to 0:2. In addition to vote each feature also can have weight. From votes and weights of features "winning" side is calculated automatically. The result of that calculation can be 1:0, 0:0 or 0:1.

From votes of all users final vote is calculated. If number of votes is high the vote shown on the page is lowered maintaining the ratio of votes between two sides. For example if 900 users voted for side A and 900 users voted for side B the result will appear as 1:1 1800 votes.

Summary votes are also calculated for every feature together with average weight.
